As the transition is made from primary to secondary school, it is imperative that we address the new and challenging scenarios young students may be presented with and how they can continue to make safe decisions and take responsibility.
Our workshops for Key Stage 3 are based on an hour’s lesson time, which can be selected to work around the students timetables, as one of the following :

Year 7 – Are You Paying Attention
In this workshop we focus on limiting distraction and staying safe whilst travelling to and from school whether this be by car, bus, walking or riding a bike. This session is tailored to identifying and preventing distraction by ensuring the students are aware of their surroundings and the risks they may encounter on their journey.
Year 8 – Choices
In this interactive workshop the focus is predominantly on pedestrians. This workshop sets the scene by following the choices of a year 8 student who is navigating being a pedestrian and handling distractions. The session explores the outcomes of the student’s choices and focuses on educating the students on pedestrian best practices, it includes relatable and thought-provoking content to highlight to students the importance of remaining focused and alert.
Year 9 – Everybody Ready?
We step away from being a pedestrian/cyclist and focus on being a passenger in a car. We look at how we can keep ourselves safe whilst travelling in a vehicle by wearing our seatbelt. We explore how they work and how they interact with other safety devices in the car. We also consider overcrowding – how many people are legally allowed to be in car.
