Bikeability is today’s cycle training programme. It’s like cycling proficiency, but better!

Bikeability is a government-recognised cycle training scheme for riders of all ages and abilities. It provides practical skills and understanding of how to cycle on today’s roads, giving everyone the confidence to ride safely and independently.

Level 2: Riding in traffic on quiet roads

  • This Level teaches riders how to ride safely in traffic, such as how to signal and obey traffic laws.

Level 3: Riding in challenging conditions

  • This Level teaches riders how to ride on progressively more challenging roads and junctions with high volume of, or fast, motor traffic.
