Via Looking for the Next Generation of Civil Engineers
Via East Midlands is reaching out to people in region who want to consider a career in highways and engineering at events in the county.
The Nottinghamshire-based company are on the lookout for the next generation of Civil Engineers to join the company for a Highways Apprenticeship.
Via’s Training and Recruitment teams visited last week’s Nottingham Jobs Fair at the Motorpoint Arena and were thrilled at the interest shown in Via’s roles from the thousands of attendees to the event, including building relationships with the job centres so we can work more closely going forward.
Group Training Development Manager, Mark Buxton, said: “It was a really successful day for us and we spoke to over 300 people from different backgrounds and ages.
“It was a great event to raise the profile of Via in the city and showcase the opportunities for both employment and development on offer at Via.
“We came out of the event with some great interest in our vacancies and apprenticeships, but we’re still looking for more candidates with a passion for engineering for our highways apprenticeship programme.”
The Highways Maintenance Apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience and training on a wide range of Highway areas whilst studying to achieve nationally recognised qualifications in Civil Engineering.
As a large employer in the county across a range of disciplines, there’s great opportunity for progression, we are passionate about creating talent pipelines to play a key role in the future of Via.
Those interested in a Highways Apprenticeship should get in touch with Via, sending their CV and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
