Via Highways Training Centre

Via’s Highways Training Centre, which includes construction and driver training, offers excellent quality training in state-of-the-art-facilities, conveniently located in Nottinghamshire.

Our fully qualified instructors have a wealth of industry experience across a range of specialisms and are dedicated to providing the best possible level of training to each and every delegate. They have access to many specialised education resources throughout the United Kingdom and are trained to the highest standard.

Formerly operating as Nottinghamshire County Council’s Highways Training Centre, we have been delivering courses for over 40 years, training thousands of delegates from Nottinghamshire, the East Midlands and beyond.

The training centre is in the heart of the East Midlands, easily accessible from all major routes and has three large training rooms, an external training area, an on-site subsidised café and ample free parking.

We have a wide range of courses available, specialising in construction and engineering, to suit all roles, and all are designed to ensure full development of the delegates potential skill. Courses include theory and practical sessions, which play an active part in the learning process for the delegate.

From NRSWA (streetworks) and plant courses, LGV and driver CPC and winter service operations to asbestos awareness and health and safety, our courses cover the breadth of highways and specialist construction functions, across all levels. They include abrasive wheel training, kerbing and paving and manual handling. We also deliver highways and construction NVQs and apprenticeships.

The training centre is a member of the Highway Construction Training Association and courses include qualifications from industry accredited bodies such as City & Guilds, EORS, NPORS, Lantra, RTITB, CSCS, CPCS and IOSH.

Our courses can be tailored to meet individual needs, with advice and assistance available on designing a bespoke training package for your business.

We have a strong track-record of working with local authorities and private companies across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire and Staffordshire, creating training programmes that meet the needs of their staff development plans

The facilities are also available for private hire, ideal for conferences and meetings for up to 60 people, with the ability to provide AV and catering facilities on request.
